Belly Bands

I posted this in the shout box, but I guess noone is there right now.
I was wondering if there is a good-better-best belly bands out in the market right now. If anyone has any experience with clients using them in the 3rd or 4th trimester, please let me know.
I've never had one, but I've heard they are wonderful.
Thanks ladies.

What do you mean by belly bands? Are you talking about the belts that a mom can wear to hold up the weight of her belly?

yes. I have a mom who is having severe pressure and pain in the lower belly when she stands or walks for long periods of time (10+ minutes)

I don't know about using them during pregnancy, but when I was preg and asked my midwife about getting one for post partum she said "no". She said it's important to regain ab strength on your own and that getting used to having something hold your stomach in for you is a bad idea.

But I do really like those bands that you wear during pregnancy that cover the bottom of your belly so it doesn't stick out of your shirt. I can't remember the name of them but I always see ads for them, they come in different colors.

I wanted one during my pregnancy but my chiropractor said not to use one because it makes your muscles lax. The belt is supporting the weight so after you deliver you may end up having more problems with your back and abs. I had so much pain that my legs went numb and stayed that way. They are still actually numb in some places 8 months later....ahhh the joys of pregnancy!

Lightbulb Sweetness Pouch

Slightly off-topic here (when am I not?), but has anyone seen the Sweetness Pouch? While, admittedly, it's not the best sling in the world, it's such a beautiful concept and so cute to look at.
