Yup, I like regular and chai. I probably use them more than moms though. I get them from a local grocery store that has a good selection of natural goods or you can usually get them if you have a hoighty-toighty kitchen/food store.

Why not make your own?? It seems like it is just plastic drinking straws (I would boil to disenfect) honey (you could buy different kinds) and just heat seal the ends (that's the part that I would have to work on). Check out this link.

I bought mine on ebay from a GREAT company in Washington state. They came in all different flavors. My clients LOVE them, especially when they are pushing and they think their throat is getting sore or WILL be sore! GREAT investment. They are CHEAP too. Vitamin Cottage has them for .15cents a piece.

I bought mine online (can't remember from who - guess I will have to look it up to reorder). I love them!!! My favorite is the orange and orange blossom, but I also like blackberry.

Ok so I've just had a bit of a look on the net, and it appears we don't have this kind of thing here in Australia.

So tell me how you use them, and how they would come in handy during a birth etc. What do you do with them? I get that you could stir them into tea etc, is that the main use?

Feeling very left out down under here

You bite or cut the end off and eat the honey. You can put it in tea if you want.

During labor honey is great for energy. Honey-sugar process differently in the body than other sugars. There are some websites explaining it.

I just checked Vitamin Cottage and I can't find the honey sticks. I searched products for honey. Do you know how/where they are listed?

I just bought some at betterbee.com in NY State. They were only $0.10 each including shipping! I ordered plain clover honey, peppermint, blueberry, cherry and raspberry. Yumm..... can't wait to get them! I'm going to give a small bundle of these to a pregnant friend (who doesn't want a doula ) at her baby shower.

Just wanted to let you know I found 'em.
