I'm pretty sure that Sutter Davis has a volunteer Doula program. You can also look into the Doula Collective. You can also talk to chiropractors in the area and see if they will let you leave business cards.

Thanks!
Sutter Davis has a program but their next training isn't until the fall...and apparently they already have too many people wanting to volunteer! good for mommies, bad for me, haha.

Gotacha!

Just out of curiosity...Did you go to "Birth the play" last night at UC Davis?

no I didn't! I'm really having a hard time finding out about things going on in the area. I feel like because I'm new nobody wants to hang out with me :/
I don't know a lot of people here at all, and definitely not in the birth professional field.

Same as anywhere - get a website, post on craigslist, get involved with local birthing/breastfeeding groups.

Have you contacted the UCDavis Student Health Center?

Try getting involved with the Doula Collective. You don't have to be a member to attend the meetings.
