Hello ! I am in the process of getting everything ready to begin my doula certification with DONA ... (I am so excited!) ... but I would also like to get my CBE certification. What do you suggest?

I love CAPPA. I also have my doula cert through DONA, btw. CAPPA has such a family feel. I've only met my trainer in person but the other leaders make all CAPPA girls feel like sisters. I feel I was well trained and have the freedom to teach whatever I want (within my scope of course). And their conferences are free!

I'm doing the CBE course with Childbirth International. I LOVE it! It is so incredibly thorough, I feel like I will be totally prepared for anything once I start teaching. It is 100% on line, self-study, so you need to be disciplined, but that works out great for me. Good luck in this new path!

I've heard really good things about Childbirth International. Personally I'm a Bradley gal. Good luck!

Lamaze! Lamaze International has been educating pregnant women and their families for 52 years. Lamaze provides solid, evidence-based information for their educators and for birthing families. Safe and healthy birth and birth practices are taught. Lamaze teaches their educators to how to teach and how to work with adult learners through workshops and conferences. One learns to be knowledgeable about birth and an effective educator as well. Classes are interactive and not boring! I have been teaching Lamaze for 26 years and have made a difference for hundreds and hundreds of pregnant women and their partners. Go for Lamaze, it is worth the effort!
