This is a great book! Once you have read a number of birth books it's hard to rate any of them with a 5 for Unique Content but this book really does go into great detail about the safety of water births, the history of medicalized birth and the fact that birth in other countries is completely different than what we do in the US and they have much better mother/baby outcomes than we have (among other things) Having read the book over a year ago these are the things that stand out in my mind still. If you are a new doula and haven't started reading yet...make this one of your first!

I loved this book, and like someone else said it is great that it comes with the dvd too!!!!

This book will give you fire in the belly to help change birth for the better. I highly recommend it to any doula and any expecting mama.

Great starting book and I love that the newest edition includes a DVD copy of the movie and it's only $13! A FAB deal.

i love this book , i lend it out a lot. the dvd is great as it shows really good natural births, very gentle.
