I like this tool for a couple of reasons. It rolls smoothly over clothes or skin, is easy to hold and is dishwasher safe. Plus it comes in pretty colors!
I realize we don't typically use a lot of massage tools but I like to have something just in case. Also, I think handing Dad a tool to "play" with can get him started when he seems unsure of what to do.
It's a bit pricey at $15.95 plus shipping but it seems quite durable and I think I'll have it for a long time.

I like this product, but have found that I have NEVER used it (like so many tools in my bag ) The few times I have pulled it out for a dad the mom has yelled at him to stop using it on her as it annoyed her. Instead they seem to enjoy hands on instead of tools on.

Can I just ask how you get it to not stick? I find that mine is pretty sticky. I like it and I think that it could be useful if it would unstick.

I use my Omni quite a bit. I think it's great for low back massage when mom is having back labor. It's easy for dads to use and they seem to like using this massage tool instead of their own hands. I think I got mine off ebay brand new and the price wasn't too bad.

Unfortunately it was a gift from Denver. Maybe a little olive oil or something?

Whether it's me using it or it's the dad using it, my omni ball gets used a lot. My moms have typically liked it used for a counter pressure/massage on her extreme lower back. A typical usage scenario for me: mom is sitting/swaying on a birth ball while leaning over the dad's pillowed lap. I would be behind her applying counter pressure to her lower back with the omni ball (which they usually love, IME). I would recommend this tool. Btw...Mine is about three years old and has never "stuck".

I love my omni massager, I have not yet used it on a MOM, but I use it on my Mom all the time, and my sisters and my husband! I love it! I found mine at my massage therapists office, she sells them for 12.95!
