I have some of these in my office (in my massage rooms). In the past I have tried several different types of "candles" in the hospital for mamas who like candlelight and found that these work the best. They flicker like a real candle and this particular set gives off a scent as well, which I have found that the mamas like :)

I just got a couple of these for Christmas and they are wonderful. Mine smell lightly of vanilla (only if you hold them close and sniff them) and they are actually made out of wax. Wick and everything. But, they light up from the inside and flicker like a candle. I can't wait to use them during a birth!

The OPs and last poster's candles sound nicer than mine, as mine doesn't have scent. :( I DO love my candles, however, and would still give an all 5s rating for them! I use them at every single birth. All of my moms, so far, have loved a dimmed room and the flameless candles add so much to their feeling of privacy and relaxation. I absolutely love to place them around the Jacuzzi in a darkened hospital room; that is relaxing to me, as well!

My candles also flicker and look real. I've had several nurses inform me that I would have to blow my candles out, and it was great fun to show them that they were battery operated! :lol I highly recommend flameless candles...and you might as well get some of those scented ones that tlcdoula and MothertheMother wrote about! Two thumbs up! :yes

I just bought more flameless candles; can you tell that I love candles? :)

I saw these particular 4" pillar candles for the price of $9.99 USD at TSC (Tractor Supply Company) of all places! :lol They had the scented wax, flickering, flameless LED candles that came in three different scents: lavender, vanilla, and citrus. They use 3 AAA batteries (not included, of course) and has a color changing option with the flick of a switch on the bottom, along with an option to push a "hold" button to pause on the color that you like best. The "flame" doesn't change colors, but the wax does (or rather lighting within the wax).....very cool! The box says that it lasts for 100,000 hours; that should get me through a lot of births, I figure! :thumbs I do love these candles, too. They are pretty, relaxing, and I'm looking forward to adding this lavendar one to my earlier collection of flameless candles to sit around the Jacuzzi for laboring moms!

and a little OT...these are great for the kids rooms during a power outage if they are still used to night lights. I wanted to kiss the friend that gifted mine to me the last time we had a big storm. :whew

Thanks for all the great reviews on these! They are on sale at Kohl's this weekend for 6.99, so I think I will pick a few up!

Can anyone recommend a place to purchase these? Khol's does not have them. Is there an online company? These are awsome! Thank you so much for this information!
