I took the course from Suzanne in April. And it was a very intense wekend! But it was very well organized, she kept to her sceduale as best as possible, so we did get a lot from it! There were excellent little group projects and hands on stuff. Suzanne has been a doula for about 10 years, I think, so she has a ton of knowledge. During the second day she had guests from DONA and our local doula association for us to talk with, and pick their brains. I also enjoyed the videos, she showed one about the Chigago doula, I cryed, and also one about the Black sea births?? Anyways, there were more videos on birth, but those two really struck me. I wish there was more info on how to promote your business, how to do a 1st prenatal visit, and what information we should be supplying our clients with. There was a basic list of info in her course binder, but now that I have a couple clients, I think having a mock interview would have been great. Overall, I would completely suggest taking her workshop if you are in the area. I felt really empowered, and bursting with ideas after the course! Oh, I also love how she as told us that if we are in a birth and ready to cack because things aren't working out, that we can call her anytime!
