I really think that any pregnant woman and their partner should see this movie! I thought it put a lot of thought provoking facts and questions out there that many consumers do not think about going into the whole pregnancy and birth process. I caught the film online for free but I hope to purchase a copy for my lending library. This video would be good for mainstream clients as well as crunchy clients, although they would likely get different things out of it..it still is a good view in my opinion.:teddy

I saw this in Feb when it came out on NETFLIX. I thought that it was interesting and that it would be a good starting point for conversation about natural and/or homebirths. I like the fact that a 'mainstream' celebrity such as RIkki Lake took on this project. There are so many people out there who wont listen to just any regular Joe/Jane, but they'll listen to someone "famous", KWIM?
I would have no problem showing this video to a group, as a way of starting the discussion. I don't know that I will purchase it though. I haven't really checked into it yet.
Overall I was satisfied with the documentary. It is what it is, the BUSINESS of being born. That includes all the sensationalism that Americans seem to crave. The good, the bad, and the ugly.

I saw this last October and enjoyed the birth stories. Much of the info I already knew of course, but I think it will serve to be thought-provoking for those who aren't already birth junkies, doulas, etc. Those who are, will likely enjoy the birth stories. :)

Once I have some money, I plan to buy a copy for my lending library.
