Not a Birth Network, but specifically for doulas. Coming together, meeting on a regular basis, educating the community, supporting each other, sponsoring events, seeking continuing education as a group, and networking with each other and other birth professionals?

I think we are on the cusp of getting that in my region of FL. I think the southern part of the state is much more organized and proactive but we are working on it up here. In fact, I'll be heading out the door in the next 45 minutes for our new quarterly doula gathering (second one for us but I missed the first). I'm excited to share with them that there is an upcoming women's expo that we might be able to pool resources for and get a table! Baby steps, right?

Yep we have Colorado Doulas Association. I am a member but they only meet on the eastern slope of Colorado so I never get to attend any of the meetings because it is a four hour drive one way.

oops, I answered before I finished reading.
We have regional birth networks I have been a part of, and there is a province wide doula organization but I am not a part of that.

Yes. I am really amazed how big and organized our group is. Doulas of Greater St. Louis. I think it could do even more, but I don't have the time to be an organizer with the group, so I am in no position to critique

I meet once a month with all the doulas who work in the hospital program with me. But, once I move I will be actively looking for doulas! When I find out where I am moving to, I'm hoping to find some doulas to work with!!

What is a Birth Network? It's a more broad organization than a doula organization, but it's to advocate and promote the Mother Friendly Childbirth Initiative. http://birthnetwork.org/

Yes, we have the Doula Association of Central Oklahoma. I am actually the secretary of the group this term. We sponsor doula trainings, continuing education and get the word out about doulas, as a group. I love all the ladies in our group!
