Our state allows VBAC's, one hospital will not allow them, except in a few exceptions. The other hospital, not as naturally minded will allow them, but has a lot of rules. They are much, much more likely to jump to a C-section, but they are offering them and encouraging moms to think about it, especially since AGOG changed their thoughts on them.

The most recent data I can find for TN is from 2008. The c-section rate statewide is about 35%. For my hometown, Memphis, it's a bit over 30%. Looking at ICAN's very incomplete list of hospitals' status on vbac and various forum posts by expectant moms searching vbac friendly docs, it seems that it's hit or miss here. I have seen one OB mentioned more than once who clearly seems to be unquestionably vbac friendly in Memphis.
