My town is having a green festival as part of our usual farmers market. I am sure this is the place to find the crunchie preggos in my area, and I want them to know that I am right here in town. I am pretty sure I won't have to do so much of the "what is a doula" stuff, but I am nervous, moreso about what to do with myself and my space. Do I make a poster? Print up a brochure? Handouts? I am a shy person, so I would prefer to have my table pull people in, so I don't have to accost them myself! I am sharing my table with my cloth diaper selling friend, and we are thinking of calling it "Birth and Beyond" or "From Doulas to Diapers". Any words of wisdom would be much appreciated!

From Doulas to Diapers is really cute. Have a birth ball and a dish of candy. I would have several brochures and business cards. Good luck.

Well it was great. I met with 2 prenatal yoga instructors, one childbirth ed teacher and former doula, and then about 4 pregnant moms. Well worth the effort! I will be going every year if I can, and printing myself a proper banner!

Could more of you please weigh in on what process you go through to find these venues and how you go about getting ready for the events? What do you give out? Do you sell anything (I guess that depends on what the organizers allow)? What is a decent price for the renting out of a booth/table?
