I love that we see the intensity of a contraction then the smile between. And then the huge smile and obvious energy once baby is in her arms. Those are moments that you can't really convey to women until they've been there.

Love your photography...and I liked your site as well. I saw it was Wordpress. Did you customize it for free or did you have to buy a layout? I'm still working on my wordpress site and it's so boring!

wow, thanks for sharing those! I have just launched my business as a doula and birth photographer so am keen to see other birth photos for inspiration
Question for you; Do you find that most people are happy to sign photographic releases and allow you to use their photos in your business advertising? ta!

Hi All:
I am a photographer looking to begin a photojournalism project on births. I'm finding it difficult (at the moment) to navigate the rule of hospitals and births. Is photography of births not allowed in hospitals (I am in NYC)?
If anyone knows more about the rules, I would appreciate the info...BUT...even further, if any women are interested in having the births of their children photographed, PLEASE contact me as soon as possible.
