I would attend prenatals with my clients. ideally just one so I could meet her OB/midwife before labor starts but if she was single or her husband was away I may consider going to more of them if she wanted. I think the first visit or two would especially be helpful if she's unsure of what to expect. Also, if she was experiencing a complicated/high-risk pregnancy I would be happy to go along to help her stay calm and explain things. Or if a procedure like an amino was being done and she didn't have someone else to accompany her. I guess it just depends on the client and what prenatal visit it is. if it was her 4th meeting with her midwife, whom I had already met, and she was having an uneventful pregnancy...would I want to waste gas driving there to know how her pee stick test turned out...probably not. lol. you get what I mean.
