Hello Doulas!
I have my first client (:dancing) and she asked for information on breastfeeding, circumcision, and Newborn Care.
Now, I'm having a hard time finding unbiased information on Circumcision. I'd really appreciate any help you ladies could give me!
And on the other two topics in the title, I've come across a bunch of information regarding both, and really would just love to know your favorite articles/handouts to give when requested!
Thanx in advance for the help!

I give out info on circ from drmomma or whole network
I advocate for human rights and genital integrity for both my clients and their babies

For breastfeeding I use kellymom or LLL a lot

I'm not sure if you will find an "unbiased" handout in terms of the balance of information, because the evidence is heavily weighted on the side of not circumcising. However, I think some handouts are better than others in their language (like not calling circ-ing "genital mutilation"). Even though I understand where the authors are coming from, but it can be very off-putting to someone who is circ-ed or someone approaching the issue for the first time. drmomma.com or peacefulparenting.com may have some good information.

I give all my clients a magazine that I get free from womenshealth.gov. It is a breastfeeding magazine that has lots of info in it and they advocate for nursing in public and also extended nursing. Lots of pics too.

That is exactly what I meant, the language used. I want to give her information that just lays out the facts about the benefits, risks etc, not relying too much on opinion. Thanx!

I will look at all the websites you ladies have listed. Thanx again!

You could just make your own print out and then put the sources at the end of it.

I posted a link to an article from brio birth about circumcision, and it has very delicate language.
