Childbirth Education Chat: Helping Abuse Survivors through Pregnancy and Birth
Come out for another childbirth education chat on Wednesday, April 23rd at 8:30PM EST. We'll be talking about how to best help and support sexual and physical abuse survivors. These are some of the topics we'll be exploring:
- The effect of sexual or physical trauma to pregnant women
- How to approach the subject of sexual and physical abuse during our class
- How to find and provide resources and referrals
- How to guide class members in choosing comfort measures and coping techniques that may work better
