This beautiful healing bracelet is part of my unique Cesarean Awareness collection, and features a burgundy ribbon hung upside down ~ the internationally recognized cesarean awareness symbol.

The handmade glass bead has a raised burgundy ribbon on both sides, and is combined with genuine Swarovski crystals and pearls in a matching shade, with poppy jasper and tiger eye semi-precious stones. Sterling silver Bali spacer beads add sparkle, and the sterling clasp is adjustable from 6.75 to 7.5 inches, with a matching crystal dangle.

Poppy jasper is said to exude positive energy when challenges arise, enhance physical and emotional healing, and offers protection. Tiger eye is said to bring clarity to a situation, restore confidence and balance, and assists in reclaiming personal power.

The cesarean rate in the US is at an all-time high - in many areas it's higher than 25%. At some hospitals, including my local hospital, more than one in three women will have her baby via cesarean! This is a staggering statistic, and represents a more than 400% increase in c-sections in the last 15 years according to ICAN - the International Cesarean Awareness Network. The World Health Organization states that "...there is no justification for any region to have a rate higher than 10-15%."

In response to this, I designed a collection of jewelry to show support for women who have had cesareans and to help raise awareness of this important women's health issue. Ten percent of all profits from all of my Cesarean Awareness collection will be donated to ICAN.
