In addition to the many great ideas that have already been suggested, I personally believe that talking to the baby goes a long way. I was a bit of a a skeptic when another doula was telling me how much this simple approach works but then I witnessed the power it had in two separate occasions in the last 2 weeks.
Prenatally or when in labor while mom is relaxing or meditating have her talk to the baby. Let the baby know that she he/she will have a smooth transition in the birthing process but momma needs his/her help to do so by flipping around or changing position.
I have seen a baby drop after simply being asked to by mom and I have seen a baby flip from an OP position after some thoughtful conversation from mom at two different births. I think sometimes in all the excitement and energy in the room people can forget that there is another person/soul in the room that can hear everything that is going on.

I will second this suggestion. I have seen amazing things happen when mom (and dad) talk to the baby. I have seen a baby's heart-rate stabilize on numerous occasions just by having the mom tell the baby it is ok and she needs baby to calm down if heart rate is high or she needs baby to get its heart rate back up, it is ok to be born we love you ect.
I also had a mom tell me that when she was in the OR for an emergency section for abruption she heard the surgeon say if we don't get this bleeding under control we are going to have to take her uterus. This mom immediately began telling her body to stop bleeding she said she told her uterus to clamp down and stop bleeding. Later the doc told her how close she came to losing her uterus but suddenly her bleeding stopped and they were able to finish the surgery.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned is prenatal work with an experienced massage therapist to address any issues with tight round ligaments or fascia that might hold up optimal rotation during labor. And of course chiro, which was also mentioned earlier.

One thing I noticed missing in this conversation (and great one it was) was the importance of a balanced body. That is the 1st principle in Spinning Babies, without the balance the gravity and movement may not be successful. Women do need to be more informed that OFP it isn't all just positioning, they need to balance their bodies too.

I didn't read everything else too closely so I apologize if these things have already been said. Two additional ideas: Abdominal lift and tuck (during labor or braxton hicks) (from spinningbabies.com Hypnobabies has a turn your posterior baby hypnosis track: Hypnobabies MP3 Tracks for Instant DownloadNever curving around your baby like a c (during pregancy), like leaning back on the couch... keeping your back straight, sitting on a birth ball, tailor sitting, etc.

There are those who might understand what "balanced body" might be. For those who may not exactly know what a "balanced body" means. Could you please be more clearer to what that is?

I think that hypnobabies has specific hypnosis cd for turning breech babies, maybe they have one for posterior babies too. Also the side of the pinkie toe is supposed to be a pressure point for getting baby into correct position. I have had three babies in post pos, and it wan't a big deal....I was more scared than anything and didn't need to be.

No recliners! Do not sit in a reclining position similar to the position you are in when sitting in a recliner with back laid slightly back and legs elevated. If legs need elevating then recline completely on side, or when sitting up and elevating legs don't lean back. The baby uses the belly as a hammock and baby's back is typically along your belly. When we recline the baby may spin so that she "hammocks" along your spine. So in the last two months it's really important to avoid this position.
You can use the pelvis release later in pregnancy if needed to encourage baby to move from posterior position. You can see this technique on spinningbabies.com.
