My services, include at least one prenatal visit. I prefer to make several prenatal visits if time allows so that I can get to know you and you feel comfortable having the time to ask questions.

I also like to attend one of the last prenatal appointments with you and your health care provider. It gives me the opportunity to meet him/her face to face prior to the birth and to see how things are progressing with you physically. I leave this decision up to your comfort.

Before birth, I will want to become familiar with your plans for labor, birth and postpartum. I will also want to know your own best ways of coping with pain and fatigue and how you and your partner foresee working together. I will stay by your side through the entire birth.


In labor, I prefer that you call me when you think you are in labor, even if you do not yet need me. I can answer questions and make suggestions over the phone. We will decide at this time whether I should come to your home/hospital right then or wait for further change.



After birth, I usually remain with you for one to two hours, unless you arecomfortable and your family is ready for private time together. I can also assist you with breastfeeding, if necessary. I am available for phone contact to answer any questions you may have. I would like to meet one last time within one week following your birth to see how you are doing, to review the birth, to admire your baby, and to get feedback from you about my role.



Postpartum services, I also offer postpartum doula services which consist of newborn/mother care while your at home. I teach new parents how to bathe and care for their newborn as well as breastfeeding techniques and ways to further your bonding with your baby. I will help prepare meals if needed. I will also watch the newborn in your home while you get some much needed rest. This is a temporary services which usually only lasts about 2 weeks.



Baby Nurse/Newborn Specialist My primary role of a Newborn Specialist is to provide assistance during the post-delivery recovery period and assist you with all aspects of newborn care including feeding, changing, bathing, infant laundry, sterilizing bottles and helping parents catch up on much-needed rest.

As a Baby Nurse I typically work nights and stay in the baby's room and manage their care while you get much needed rest. When the baby wakes up, I feed by bottle or bring the baby to Mom for nursing. After feeding, I burp, change and settle the baby back to sleep. (A nursing Mother can hand the baby over immediately after nursing and can get right back to sleep.) As daytime Baby Nurse I provide similar care and also strives to create a nurturing, stimulating environment for your baby during waking hours. Whether working day or night, I document your baby's patterns and keep a log of sleeping, feeding and changing times. Typically one of my key objectives is to help transition the baby to a regular feeding and sleeping schedule.


Massage, I offer a safe prenatal/postpartum massage which releases tension in the neck, back, legs, feet, face & hands. This is very relaxing for the pregnant mom or even after birth to help reduce the normal aches and pains associated with pregnancy.
