I believe that labor and birth has the capacity to be a positive life-altering experience for all those involved. I believe my role is to help a mama and her partner create a beautiful experience that they will remember forever. I believe it is important to support her partner and enable him or her to give the kind of care that the mama needs, and that they feel comfortable providing. I love educating families about the birth process, and empowering women to make their birth the way they want it and ease them through any unexpected difficulties. I am honored to be a part of these intimate, life-changing moments where love is affirmed, challenges are met, and families are made. Birth is beautiful!I am a doula in training. I am currently in the process of completing my DONA certification as a birth doula. I have attended Birth Matters birth doula training, childbirth education for doulas and two DONA approved breastfeeding courses. I have read many books on childbirth, and have witnessed many births via video in my training.
