Hello everyone!
I'm living in Alexandria, Va and looking for clients in my area for my certifying births. I'm currently a volunteer, on-call doula for the Family Health and Birth Center in DC, but haven't attended any births yet (I'll update this once I have). I am charging $300 for my services, but will refund $50 after the evaluation is returned to me at the second postpartum visit.

I have personal experience with an unmedicated birth at a free standing birth center, but feel it's my mission to help the mother have the type of birth she believes to be most satisfying. I've got experience with breastfeeding and formula feeding, as I'm a BFAR (breastfeeding after breast reduction) mom, who strongly belives in the value of breastfeeding, yet understands the decision to provide for ones child in the best way she is able.

I hope you'll refer me to mothers considering a doula, but can not afford one at the standard area rates. Looking forward to hearing from you! ~ Emily:thx
