Sonrise Birth Doula is committed to serving the Washington DC and surrounding area (Maryland and Northern Virginia), providing assistance to any woman who wishes to have a dedicated doula to support her during her labor, and at minimal cost.

Every woman deserves a safe, rewarding and personalized birth. It is one of the most memorable experiences of your life - and it should be treated as such. She should feel encouraged to trust her body's ability to birth her baby and feel that she can make informed decisions about the birth. Whether through a medicated, natural, induced or cesarean birth - the most important factors are that the woman feels satisfied with her experience and knowledgeable in her choices. By serving as your doula, I hope to give you the emotional, physical and informational support you need throughout your labor to make your child's birth a fulfilling and empowering memory for years to come.

Sonrise is happy to work with low-income households and those in financial hardships, and free services are given to military personnel/spouses and women considering adoption.

For more information, please visit our website: Sonrise Birth Doula

Thank you!

Update: As of February 2012, Sonrise Birth Doula will no longer be taking new clients. I have truly enjoyed serving many families as they welcome their newest additions, but in the interest of further my career goals, I will not be able to continue serving as a doula after this summer. I am sorry for any inconvenience, and am thankful for your interest and support.
