As a doula, I am here to help you make an informed decision and then support you in it. During labor I use my training and experience with birthing women to provide assistance with comfort measures. It is my goal to educate and counsel you with up to date information so that you may have the facts necessary to make informed decisions about your care as the need arises. I enjoy working with a variety of clients, with many different needs, choices and preferences. I have experience with both hospital and homebirth.
I am available to attend births in the city of Lansing and the surrounding capital area within a 60 mile radius of my home. I attend births in the hospital, birth center or home
I also work with the Doulas Care program out of Ann Arbor provideing free doulas to low income women. I have worked extensively with homeless women in Lansing. My work as a private (for hire) doula allows me to continue serving these women.
I also have experience with teens and with relinquishing mothers and adoption proceedings.
I work on a sliding scale fee and also am willing to talk about barter. Every woman deserves a doula, no matter her financial situation.
