I am a mother of two boys - ages 4 and 1.5 - and i had a doula for both of my births - my first son was born in the hospital and my second was born at home in the water - having a doula made such a difference in my birth experiences and that is what inspired me to become a doula!

I am a dona certified doula and have been practicing for 3.5 years - In addition to that I have been to workshops (including one held at "The Farm" in Tennessee) - and I attend regular birth groups that meet monthly - and I always networking with other doulas, lay midwives, certified nurse midwives and mom's

My philosophy is simple - I want you to have a great birth experience - whatever that means for you is what I want to achieve - and sometimes that means helping you discover what you are looking for and understanding how you see your birth experience - whether that is a unmedicated or medicated birth - if you want a back rub or to not have anyone touch you - if you want to walk the halls or be alone with your partner in your room - I will be there to help guide you so that things can go more smoothly - and when sometimes things don't go the way you planned I am there to help make the best of it and to help you through it

I am located in Old Brooklyn (cleveland's west side) - For my services I charge $350.00 - I think that you will find this a bit lower than most certified birth doulas - That fee includes the birth, three pre-natals, one postpartum visit, and I would be on call for you two weeks before and two weeks after your due date -also I am, of course, available any time to answer any questions that you may have pop up during your pregnancy - I ask for a $50.00 deposit when you hire me - then $100.00 at each pre-natal visit - which would have you paid up before the birth
