To dispel myths, dispense truth and help women have a good birth experience: these are why I became a doula.

I've been serving expecting families since 2001 and love my work now more than ever! I count it a privilege to witness the miracle of birth on a regular basis.

In February 2011, I left my childhood home of New Orleans to begin a new life with my husband near Nashville, Tennessee. While it is sad to leave my friends, colleagues and clients, I can't wait to see to all the exciting things the future holds for me in the Middle Tennessee region. My doula work is getting started now in Tennessee and I am looking forward to serving women in Clarksville, Ft. Campbell, Nashville and beyond.

I have a passion for educating women about pregnancy and birth. My birth support business, originally named Choices In Childbirth, became a reality 10 years ago when I began pursuing my dream of becoming a DONA-Certified Birth Doula and ICEA-Certified Childbirth Educator and Perinatal Fitness Educator.

My doula work has given me the perfect opportunity to invest the time prenatally to educate women and then support them in their birth experience. In this way I can personalize the information I provide and focus on the areas that each client needs the most. I use the depth of knowledge provided by my childbirth educator training combined with my hands-on experience as a doula to give my clients a solid foundation of support on multiple levels.
