My name is Sara Carlson. I have always had an interest in pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, and babies. I view birth as one of the most enticing parts about being a woman. I mean how awesome is it that we can actually create life. Birth is a beautiful thing.


I serve West Central Wisconsin including but not limited to[INDENT][/INDENT] Hudson, Menomonie,EauClaire, Bloomer, New Richmond, Turtle Lake, Cumberland, River Falls, Rice Lake, Stanley, Mondovi, Eleva, Strum, Boyceville, Spring Valley, Osseo, and surrounding areas.

2006 was the biggest change of my life. I married my husband Isaac in January, then had my very own little boy in December.

My son's birth is what motivated me to inform women of their childbirth choices . I was not informed when I had my son. What I knew was the pain and fear the women depicted on T.V. I never even realized birth could be an enjoyment.

My goal as a doula is to help women take charge of their births. My mission is to provide the women I serve with the information that they need to know. I want them to be informed on their options and I want to help them achieve their ideal birth. I will do my best to support the mother and her choices to the best of my ability. Whether it be your first child, a natural birth, a c-section, or a sceduled induction, I will be there to support and tend to your physical and emotional needs.

I currently training/certifying with Birth Arts International.
