My name is Penny Shantz and I am the owner of Birthquest Doula Services. I have been serving women and their families as a birth doula since 2006. In 2008 I earned my doula certification through DONA International. I volunteer my time with the Kitchener Downtown Community Heath Center as a Breastfeeding Buddy, as well as teaching childbirth education at Vanier (Prison) Center for Women. As of September 2010, I took on the role of Kitchener/Waterloo Regional Rep. for DoulaCARE Inc.

I attend both home, and hospital births, and serve families within 1 hour of Kitchener-Waterloo Ontario. This includes Waterloo Region and areas of Wellington, Oxford, Perth and Brant Counties. Hospitals within my catchment include Grand River, Cambridge Memorial, Guelph General, Stratford General, Woodstock General, Milton, and I will accompany women to McMaster if they live within 50 km of me. Some exceptions may apply.
